Concordia Church

Sketch of the old church by Orabel Thortvedt

The original church building was erected in 1884 by Our Saviour's Congregation on land donated for that purpose by Vetle Lisland. When Our Saviour's merged with Moland congregation in 1891 the new congregation took the name Concordia. The church building was officially dedicated in 1894.

In 1931 the original building was destroyed by a tornado.  The current church was dedicated in 1938.  In 1974 an expanded entry was added to the front of the church.  In 2004 an elevator was installed to accommodate wheelchairs and for those who have difficulty using the stairs to the sanctuary and basement.
