Henry Johan Wickre, ordained 1911. United (Lutheran) Church, 1911-present

Born in Newhall IA on Sept. 25, 1878.  His parents were Jens W. and Eliassine (nee Haaland).

He attended Madison Normal School from 1900-1903; St. Olaf College, 1903-1906;Chicago Lutheran Seminary from 1907-1909;  United Church Seminary 1909-1911.

He served as pastor at Larimore ND beginning in 1911.

He married Edna C. Larson in 1911.

This was published before Wickre was called to Concordia.

H. J. Wickre died in Minnehaha County SD on November 1, 1937.
