Gideon's Song
Gideon you have become the chosen son,
Out of all of Israel you are the one
To deliver Israel from Midian.
God will surely show you how He wants it done.
Angel came and gave a pow'rful sign,
Fleece was wet with dew, but ground was dry.
Then another, God will prove to you
Ground was wet and fleece was dry. He knows it's true.
Gideon had such an army
of great men,
But God looked at them and said, "They're too many".
Gave some tests until three hundred men were left.
With that number God would surely get glory.
For the weapons Gideon would use
Pitchers, torches, trumpets, God did choose.
They surrounded Midian that night
And the soldiers were victorious in the fight.
Though your many troubles
seem to get you down
Always trust in God and He will care for you.
Look for answers to your pray'rs and you will see
God is really watching and will bless you, too.
Just as He helped
Gideon that night
You will know that He is at your side.
Trust his word, He is ready still
To give aid and comfort, God will work His will.
