Crossing the Jordan

How would Joshua get across?
The Jordan was flooding,
He was at a loss!

God said, "Why do you worry so?
I'll open the waters - Don't you know?"

The waters opened, the ark lead the way,
The Israelites entered Canaan
And were there to stay!

One man from each tribe picked a stone
From the bottom of the Jordan
dry as a bone.

When they entered the Promised Land
The twelve stones from the twelve tribes
were given to Joshua
so he could build a shrine.

The stones were placed around the ark
To remind the people
Of God's help and power.

When you feel alone and lost,
Remember how God
helped Joshua across!

God will always be there for you,
To help you be strong and know the
right thing to do.

Keep your faith
and trust in God's power
He'll be with you,
In the darkest hours.
